He’s left for dead with no memory. She's fighting corruption. Can they survive and find love together or will duty tear them apart?

Niail is a Hunter, an elite alien warrior stranded on earth. He wakes up with no memory of his mission, injured, and unable to connect with his fellow Hunters. He is rescued by Kimi and her two children. When a drug lord threatens the family, he vows to guard them. It is a Hunter’s duty to defend those in need, but he will die to protect Kimi, the woman he has bonded with.…

Kimi is a single mother of two children. When Niail is brought to her because of the Star People markings on his arm, she thinks he is like other men. His almost miraculous healing and strength have her believing that he is indeed from the stars. As they elude the men chasing them, she realizes that the bond they share is deeper than anything she has ever experienced. Dare she believe that she is destined to be his mate?

As the pair bonds, tensions flare and sparks fly. Will Kimi risk her heart? Can Niail protect Kimi and her children, and find a way to make their love possible?

I liked Nieil and Kimi's story even more than Ardal and Fiona's. There was lots to of action just as in the first of this series and lots to think about in this book but not all the nagging questions.

I can understand the trepidation of the violence that the women feel but completely understand the necessity that the Hunters claim. Laws are well and good in society but if criminals don't abide by them but use them to find loopholes to freedom and those enforcing laws can be paid off then something else must be done by those with true honor. I can get that and wish there really were Hunters out there to right what is wrong. I don't believe in honor among thieves, if someone is a thief they have no honor and a thief can steal more than objects of value they can steal a person's sense of safety and well-being and as in the case of drug dealers dealing to children they can steal a person's soul. Long live the Hunters. Now, on to the next book. Hope they keep coming. Lol

I waited for this one to be released ever since I read the first one & thankfully it is a really good follow up & for me it did not disappoint. I love the whole Native American aspect to the story telling, their beliefs in the star people & the symbols that are part of that belief were included. I've even gone and looked them up I found it really interesting. The romance part was not in your face type stuff that took over the story but ran just behind so that you got involved in the lives of the characters outside of the bedroom.
All in all a good book I would say not a complete 5 star but close enough to mark as such. I would happily buy the next instalment.... hopefully not too far away (hint!).
Read the first book and I know I am going to get hooked with this series! Having said that, I was not totally happy with the story because of the way the hunter seems to get injured especially in the head all the time. Anyway, that is just my opinion. But the author still got me hooked now with the story and would like to read the story for the other hunters.
I really enjoyed this story with the native American theme. The interaction between characters was very good with great action and adventure. The secondary characters were good. I really like this series so far and I am looking forward to reading more. I recommend this book to anyone who loves a good story.
I thought this was a good follow-up to the first Hunter4hire story. I really liked Niall - he was a true protector and never tried to fight the mate bond. It was also interesting to see his interactions with Kimi's children. Being a warrior, he had no previous experience but seemed comfortable around them. As in the first one, there was a bit too much violence in this for me - and quite unrealistic at times. But I really enjoyed the Native American influence in this story. It was handled very well. I do wish we could have seen a few more of the characters from the first story, but overall, a good follow-up.
This was second in the series. Loved the first book and was looking forward to reading this. This one was okay, but wasn't as good as the first. What I did like was the H- he knew who he was, was protective and caring and his mission and desire clear. I didn't like the h. What I didn't like was that it didn't seem believable to me that she would get involved with her ex in the first place. But say she did- I just didn't like her attitude about him. I just felt so bad for the children.
I really wanted to like this book more, and it wasn't bad- it just certainly didn't make the re-read list.
Niail was beaten and left to die on the side of the road. Somebody saw him and took him to Kimi's house to be healed. He had a head injury so he wasn't able to talk mind to mind to his other hunter brothers. She also had two children and both children fell in love with him but then the bad guys game. This is his story on how he got his pair bond but he had to protect them and almost lose his life and show her brother that he was a man of his word and he would protect his sister And her children. But to him anybody that's crooked deserve death it's the only way to die was on there even though they don't deserve on her. Another action filled book kept you waiting to see what happened course u knew what was gonna happen but you had to wait to see what happened.
I love this series so much and this is only the second story in. I can't wait to read the next one. With that said, I thought it was cool to know Ms. Clements used authentic Native American symbols and terminology in her story to give it more depth. It's humbling to know how much there is yet to learn about the spirituality of these people we white folk have ignored for way too long. The depths of their beliefs, despite what we tried doing to them and are still doing to them in some instances, boggles the mind and might actually be the catalyst that saves our society if we can only slough away our ignorance about these misunderstood people.
Sorry about the rant, but I feel strongly about what was done to the native Americans in the past and in the present should be acknowledged by more than a small minority of people, that this stuff should be taught in school curriculums as more than a footnote to what occurred during the European expansion. It's a fascinating and, ultimately, sad and frustrating subject to delve into simply because we've been kept in the dark about much of this for so long that it's almost become nothing more than a fairytale, a legend, to us all.
Love the characters and they felt so real. I couldn't wait to find out how the story would end. I couldn't put this down once started.
I liked Nieil and Kimi's story even more than Ardal and Fiona's. There was lots to of action just as in the first of this series and lots to think about in this book but not all the nagging questions.
